We solve problems using 3d modelling, scanning and printing.
We build and sell our own products, as well as help people who need parts when replacements are no longer avaiable, or when they want something custom.

17 Apr - Reproducing a broken part for a friend's boat's nagivation table
A friend had broken the french cleat that their navigation table lid hooks onto when opened.
Was supplied with the old part and after a few minutes with a pair of callipers had the design reproduced and afer that printed up in no time!

08 Apr - Quick tidy up for a boat's instrument panel
Not going to win any design or engineering awards, but a great example of a typical everyday scenario where 3d printing can serve your needs perfectly.
The previous owner had to replace a gauge but the replacement was smaller than the old part, so the hole was too big. They made do with a makeshift piece of cut up chopping board, so I knocked up a simple adapter which fits perfectly.

09 Feb - Custom rubbing strip end caps for a client's Merry Fisher powerboat
A client was replacing the rubbing strip on his boat and came to me wondering if I was able to provide some end caps. The only ones he'd found were over priced and he wasn't that keen on the design either.
Someone he'd met on a forum was generous enough to share a 3d model they'd already come up with so my job was easy - I just tweaked the design a little to better fit his particular strip's profile before printing him enough for his job, plus a few spares.
Printed in PETG for UV resistance, reinforced with carfbon fiber but more for cosmetic reasons. Pics show the final result and some drafts along the way.
